the sorcery of gabor szabo
A Discography, Biography And Appreciation – By Douglas Payne
Gabor Szabo (1936-82) was one of the most original jazz guitarists to emerge in the 1960s. Mixing his Hungarian folk music heritage with a deep love of jazz, he crafted a most unusual, largely self-taught sound. This site – which launched in 1996 – is dedicated to Gabor Szabo’s jazz journey and musical legacy.
