in Autumn 1965, this concerto remained unperformed
due to the illness of Mr. Heifetz. Jacquelin du Pre

conflicts prevented her from studying and performing
the concerto. A former student and archivist of
Piatigorsky's, cellist Terry King, discovered the
work and was given permission to première it with
his wife, violinist Laura Bossert-King, and the
Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.
