Gabor usually used a woven-design strap. Sometimes he would use a genuine leather strap. He like personalized straps. They weren't a guitar strap you would buy out of the store. They were usually something someone had made for him.

He liked a thicker strap because of standing up and playing. Gabor never sat down and played. He always stood up and played. Very few times I've ever seen him on a stool playing. Part of his performance persona was standing up. continue...
